Dream Catchers

These dream catchers make adorable decoration, and even kids can make them! It only takes a few materials and if you have said materials, is very easy to make. It takes only a matter of minutes before it’s ready to hang.

Supplies:

3 popsicle sticks ( painted or unpainted)

2 long strings

2  craft feathers

3 pompoms

Glitter glue

Directions:

1. Take your 3 popsicle sticks and glue them together, forming a triangle (let the glue dry before next step)

2. Make it so that your ends of 1 of your yarn strings are touching each other, and put it around the side of the bottom of popsicle stick triangle and tie a knot to keep it secure ( do the same with the other piece of yarn)

3. Take all of the yarn and tie a knot at about the middle

4. Take the strings on the sides and tie 1 feather on each of them

5. With the strings in the middle tie a decorative knot on each

6. Glue pompoms onto the corners of the popsicle triangle

7. Add glitter glue onto the top sides, don’t add glitter glue on the bottom of the triangle, or else the yarn will get wet.

8. Now you can hang it wherever you want!

How to Make Bracelets of All Kinds

Bracelets are my favorite accessory. I love to just cover my arm with them, and today I’m gonna show you how to make some. Bracelets only use a few materials, and are very simple.

Trio Bracelet (Top left)

If you have 2 or 3 friends (or just like this bracelet) then this bracelet is perfect for you. If you have 2 friends than have 2 of the colors represent your friends (by picking out embroidery thread or yarn in their favorite colors or in a color that shows their personality. If you choose personality look at the chart below)

Supplies:

3 long different colored embroidery threads or yarn

Tape

Directions:

1. Once you have picked your 3 strings (representing either your 3 friends or your 2 friends with color or personality) tie an overhand knot at the top of the 3 strings

2. Tape the 3 strings to a book (or any other flat thing)

3. Now braid (by takin the left string and sticking it in the middle and then taking the right string and sticking it in the middle, and so on and so on)

4. Once you have braided it enough to fit your wrist, tie the bottom

5. Tie the 2 ends together and wear

Washi Tape Bracelet (Top right)

This bracelet is very secure and is even stylish. It is very easy to make and only uses 2 materials! So let’s get started on this washi tape bracelet.

Supplies:

Tape

Washi tape

Directions:

1. Pick out 2 or 3 colors of washi tape

2. Cut a long strip of washi tape and fold them on their sides (so that you have a skinnier, non sticky washi tape strip)

3. Once you have done that, use some washi tape to connect the 3 strips by wrapping it around the top

4. Use actual tape to tape it to a book (or any other flat thing)

5. Braid the 3 washi tape strips together (by taking the left strip and sticking it in the middle and then taking the right strip and sticking it in the middle, and so on and so on)

6. Once you have made it long enough to fit your wrist, use washi tape and wrap it around where the braid ends

7. Cut off the washi tape that is not braided/ the washi tape at the bottom

8. Take the 2 ends and tape them together with washi tape, and now you can wear it!

5. Poke a hole with the needle through the felt shape and pull the needle through

6. Pull the needle to about the middle of the thread, and then push the needle through the felt shape again, making a stitch (which is the line in the middle of my heart in the picture above)

Good Guacamole

There are a lot of things that you can dip chips into, but guacamole is one of my favorites.

This recipe is simple and only takes about 5 minutes. The finished product is quite delicious and is worth the little time it takes.

If you are needing a quick side dish, this is the one. But that’s enough talking about it, now let’s actually make this Good Guacamole.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup of cilantro

5 avocados

2 limes

1 cup of chopped onions

Some salt

Directions:

1. Peel the avocados, and dump in blender/ food processor

2. Juice 1 of your limes, and add the juice to the blender/ food processor

3. Now blend until avocados are only slightly chunky

4. After blending, chop 1 onion, fill up 1 cup (not actual cup, use a measuring cup) with the onions, add a pinch of salt to the blender/ food processor, and blend the onions with the avocados for about 5 seconds.

5. Pour into a bowl and add 1/4 cup of cilantro

6. Juice your other lime and add the juice to the bowl, then stir

7. Dip in a chip and enjoy!

Christmas Happiness

Christmas time is a wondrous season. Today I’m going to share some reasons why Christmas time is a happy time for me.

1. Making presents

I love making presents for people, and seeing the look of joy on their faces when they open them. So for you I’m going to list some homemade presents I’ve made in the past.

Books. To make these homemade books I took my friend’s favorite animals, favorite princess, or even favorite things to do. So say my friend likes books, cats, and mysteries I would make them a book about a cat that solves a mystery, or a book about a girl and her cat solving a mystery.

Crafts. When I make a craft for a friend, I take their favorite food or favorite animal and make it out of paper, yarn, or (most typically) fabric. Then I add adorable faces and add a nice tag.

2. The Christmas tree

Christmas trees are beautiful, especially when decorated. I love the smell of the pine, so, when I was younger, I would take pine needles that had fallen off the tree, break them in half and sniff their glorious smell. What makes a Christmas tree so special is its decorations. My family likes to decorate them with red ornaments, snowflakes, stems with red beads, and lights. When we plug in the lights, the tree gives off a Christmas look and really makes it seem like Christmas.

3. Family and friends

Another part that makes me happy on Christmas, is seeing people I love. Every Christmas, we go visit them, open presents with them, and enjoy being together. Christmas is a great way to connect with family and friends and to give them gifts that show your love. I especially love getting presents from them, it shows that they went through all the trouble to get a gift, just because they love me.

4. Decorating

It’s a long (and sometimes difficult) process, but totally worthwhile and fun! You can decorate with stockings, Christmas trees, wreaths, and anything else that seems Christmasy to you. My family typically puts out Christmas blankets, red and white stockings, red letters that spell ‘Joy’, wreaths, and we even sometimes craft things to stick in our house. These simple traditional decorations can make your house a happier place during Christmas time.

5. Food

Every Christmas my family has homemade cinnamon rolls or granola for breakfast, and it is delicious! Having Christmas foods are essential for every Christmas (at least in my opinion). It’s easy to do; just have candy canes, cinnamon rolls, chocolate, hot cocoa, or kisses. The thing is all of those foods I listed can be homemade! So if you want to try something new and not buy Christmas food, try making your own.

All of these things make my Christmas very enjoyable. So just remember that even the simplest things can make all the difference.
