My Favorite Things About God and the Bible

God and the Bible are brilliant and wondrous, and today I’m gonna tell you why I like them so much. God is my hero, he’s saved so many people as the Bible shows. However, before I talk about God I’m gonna list my favorite Bible verses and why.

“Don’t be afraid for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.” -Isaiah 41:10

This verse reminds me that I have no reason to be down in the dumps or fear anything, because God is there. That really means a lot to me.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation- so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” -Psalm 27:1

God is bigger than my fear and will protect me whenever, that is what this verse says to me. To know that is amazing!

“Anger is cruel, and wrath is like a flood, but jealousy is even more dangerous.” -Proverbs 27:4

Honestly, I am always jealous. Jealous of what others have, the fact that they want the same as me, and that they get things that I want even though I didn’t know it. This just tells me no, don’t let jealousy get a hold of you, or else your problems will be worse.

“I will trust in Him and not be afraid.” -Isaiah 12:2

This verse is so simple and yet so meaningful. God is SO reliable.

“But with God everything is possible.” -Matthew 19:26

This verse means a lot to me because I am always trying to accomplish things and sometimes they just seem to hard, but God makes everything possible.

“Pour out your hearts like water to the Lord.” Lamentations 2:19

This is very important because God loves us so much so we should love Him. Pour out your hearts with worship, prayer, thanks to the Lord, or simple just love Him.

These are all some of my favorite verses, for different reasons. God is a miracle and the Bible proves it.

Now I might as well talk about God.

God is my life, my friend, my everything. He is always there. He is the best friend that none us deserve, but because he loves us so much, we have Him. Sin is a plague, and God is the cure. Our life is corrupt with sin and God has a big plan to fix it, with Him anything is possible (like Matthew 19:26 shows) so with Him the world will be fixed. Part of the reason I love Him so much is because of this. He has a plan to fix life for our descendants and their descendants. I also love Him because He LOVES us.Yeah, he loves us so much that the word has to be completely capitalized. I do have questions about God, but doesn’t everybody at some point? There are those of you who don’t believe in God but I hope someday you will, because He really is a great person (if you can call Him a person). You know somebody is a good person when they give their son to the world.

I also love Him because He made the Bible and I love the Bible, because it’s just full of fun adventures and stories. I could say much more about God and the Bible but because I don’t want you to take a whole day to read this, I think I’ll just leave it at that.

Dream Catchers

These dream catchers make adorable decoration, and even kids can make them! It only takes a few materials and if you have said materials, is very easy to make. It takes only a matter of minutes before it’s ready to hang.

Supplies:

3 popsicle sticks ( painted or unpainted)

2 long strings

2 feathers

3 pompoms

Glitter glue

Directions:

1. Take your 3 popsicle sticks and glue them together, forming a triangle (let the glue dry before next step)

2. Make it so that your ends of 1 of your yarn strings are touching each other, and put it around the side of the bottom of popsicle stick triangle and tie a knot to keep it secure ( do the same with the other piece of yarn)

3. Take all of the yarn and tie a knot at about the middle

4. Take the strings on the sides and tie 1 feather on each of them

5. With the strings in the middle tie a decorative knot on each

6. Glue pompoms onto the corners of the popsicle triangle

7. Add glitter glue onto the top sides, don’t add glitter glue on the bottom of the triangle, or else the yarn will get wet.

8. Now you can hang it wherever you want!

How to Make Bracelets of All Kinds

Bracelets are my favorite accessory. I love to just cover my arm with them, and today I’m gonna show you how to make some. Bracelets only use a few materials, and are very simple.

Trio Bracelet (Top left)

If you have 2 or 3 friends (or just like this bracelet) then this bracelet is perfect for you. If you have 2 friends than have 2 of the colors represent your friends (by picking out embroidery thread or yarn in their favorite colors or in a color that shows their personality. If you choose personality look at the chart below)

Supplies:

3 long different colored embroidery threads or yarn

Tape

Directions:

1. Once you have picked your 3 strings (representing either your 3 friends or your 2 friends with color or personality) tie an overhand knot at the top of the 3 strings

2. Tape the 3 strings to a book (or any other flat thing)

3. Now braid (by takin the left string and sticking it in the middle and then taking the right string and sticking it in the middle, and so on and so on)

4. Once you have braided it enough to fit your wrist, tie the bottom

5. Tie the 2 ends together and wear

Washi Tape Bracelet (Top right)

This bracelet is very secure and is even stylish. It is very easy to make and only uses 2 materials! So let’s get started on this washi tape bracelet.

Supplies:

Tape

Washi tape

Directions:

1. Pick out 2 or 3 colors of washi tape

2. Cut a long strip of washi tape and fold them on their sides (so that you have a skinnier, non sticky washi tape strip)

3. Once you have done that, use some washi tape to connect the 3 strips by wrapping it around the top

4. Use actual tape to tape it to a book (or any other flat thing)

5. Braid the 3 washi tape strips together (by taking the left strip and sticking it in the middle and then taking the right strip and sticking it in the middle, and so on and so on)

6. Once you have made it long enough to fit your wrist, use washi tape and wrap it around where the braid ends

7. Cut off the washi tape that is not braided/ the washi tape at the bottom

8. Take the 2 ends and tape them together with washi tape, and now you can wear it!
