It’s October, and that means that the spookiness of Halloween is creeping up. Halloween may be at the end of the month, but let’s be honest, the whole month of October has a Halloween feel to it, doesn’t it? So to add to the Halloween vibes, you can create this super simple craft to add a bit of Halloween to wherever you put it!
Supplies:
A toilet paper roll
Orange paper (you could also do another pumpkin color)
A pencil
Scissors
A fake candles
Directions:
1. Cut your T.P roll to the size you need (I did just under half of the roll)
Note: please ignore the weird lines on the roll below, it happens sometimes ;P
2. Measure out the size of paper that you need to cover the entire roll (I place the roll on the paper, measure how tall it is, and then roll it up with the paper to see how long it needs to be)
3. Cut out the paper
4. Now glue the entirety of one side of the paper (make sure it is the side with possible trace lines-just so that doesn’t show on the outside) and place it on your roll, making sure that it stays glued on
Note: if you would like, you can put orange paper inside the roll as well, to make sure that the T.P. Roll is not visible from any angle, but you could also add a top to the pumpkin :)
5. Then you get to make the face! You can do whatever you like for this part
Note: if you want you can take a black marker and go around the inside of the cuts you made (to cover up the T.P roll showing through)
You can also squish up your pumpkin a bit, to make it look extra crinkled and spooky
6. That’s it! Now you just have to put the candle inside the pumpkin (make sure that you do not put a real candle inside the pumpkin, that might start a fire) and you have a spooky little jack’o’lantern!
