T.P. Roll Butterflies

These butterflies only take simple things that you can easily find in your house, and they are super cute! They can be a simple decoration in a bookshelf, on a desk, or anywhere you like! Let’s jump into it!

Supplies:

A T.P. Roll (toilet paper roll)

2 pieces of pipe cleaner (technically 1 and a half)

Construction paper

Glue

Scissors

Directions:

1. Cute of a strip of your t.p roll that is around 1 inch long (I made mine smaller)

2. Now cut this in half

3. Now trace those 2 strips you now have onto some paper

Note: trace both sides of the strips (you should end up with 4 traced papers in all)

4. Now cut out the papers and glue them to the t.p roll strips you have

5. They should look something like like this now:

6. Bend them in half like this (this will give you triangular shapes for the wings)

7. Put both of the (now triangular) strips next to each other so the creases line up, and wrap 1 pipe cleaner around where the creases line up (around the middle)

8. Next, take your other pipe cleaner and cut it in half if you haven’t already

9. Take this pipe cleaner half, and pull it up from under your ‘butterfly in progress’ (sorry if this is confusing! But the pictures should help :))

10. Twist it where it touches the top of the ‘butterfly’ so that one end is facing left, and one is facing right

11. Bend the ends of the pipe cleaner as you like!

12. And you’re done! I hope this wasn’t too confusing and that you enjoyed it!

How to do the Pyramid Ponytail

My dad sort of invented this hairstyle! He had been talking about taking my sisters’ hair, and putting it in a bunch of ponytails and then using a ponytail to hook those ponytails together. So I took this idea, modified it a little bit, and thus the pyramid ponytail was born!

Supplies:

7 ponytails (whatever colors you like!)

A brush/comb

Directions:

1. Brush hair thoroughly (if you want, you can create a middle part for the hair, which makes it look nicer, but you can also just leave the part ;))

2. Divide the hair into 4 sections and ponytail them off

3. Take the 2 ponytails on the left and connect them with another ponytail, and then take the 2 on the right and connect those 2 with a ponytail

4. Now connect the one on the left with the one on the right

5. Now you can braid the extra hair below the ponytails or leave it as it is

Note: the braid needs 1 extra ponytail.

6. You’re done!
