DIY Faux Christmas Light Garland

First things first, faux means fake, in case you were wondering ;)

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to break out the Christmas decoration! This is a great Christmas decoration! It looks like a Christmas light garland (especially when you have more lights on it than I do XD) and requires very few materials!

Supplies:

String (you could also use embroidery floss. I don’t recommend yarn though, it is really hard to pull through a thick amount of paper)

Paper (I chose yellow, but you could also use green, or red, or whatever you want!)

A glue stick

A needle

Scissors

Directions:

1. First, cut little strips of paper out of the paper you chose

2. Now roll one of the strips into a light-bulb-ish shape!

3. Now glue the little flap you have, and press it onto the circle, so that it doesn’t unravel

4. Now press it for a a bit. Once the glue is fully secure, you can puff the little “Bulb” a little!

5. Now do this for all the other strips

6. Then you are going to use the needle to thread the “Bulbs” onto the string

7. Now you are done! You can hang it up now, and do whatever you like!

Happy holidays!

Things to do in Fall

Fall is a wonderful time. All of the leaves are changing from green, to beautiful reds and yellows. The temperature is also changing, we have moved from rainy days, to the cold and windy ones. And sometimes, we need things to do! So here is a list of things to do, in Fall.

Do a puzzle with all of your family members

This is a great way to bond with your family members, and pass some time! You can also probably easily find some nice Fall related ones!

Cozy up with some tea and read a book

Tea and a book… ahh. Whether it is Fall or Winter, this is a great thing to do! It is relaxing, and enjoyable for those of you that are book-worms ;).

Take a walk in the beautiful nature that surrounds you

Nature, in Fall, is beautiful. All of the plants are changing colors, leaves are on the ground, and cool breezes blow through the wind. It will be decently cold though, so bundle up!

Collect leaves

While you are out on a walk, there are millions of leaves this time of year. And they are all different shapes, sizes, and colors. Imagine having a jar full of them in your house! Of course, you don’t want to keep them in that jar forever… but you don’t have to think about that for now. What you will need for this is only a mason jar, and some leaves that you can find outside in the beautiful backyard that is nature.

Decorate for Fall

What better way to celebrate the changing of a season than to decorate for it? You can make leaves, garlands, pumpkins, anything you like! Fall colors would be red, yellow, orange, and maybe even green. This is a fun project, and it spices up your house for the season!

Paint a pumpkin

Painting a pumpkin is very enjoyable. You can express your creativity with paint, and let your hand roam free with the brush! Then, you can display your works, in your house, on a table, desk, or whatever you want!

That’s all for now! Have a great Fall!
